LANSING, Mi (Great Lakes News) – Gov. Gretchen Whitmer thanked Michigan’s restaurants for closing down despite threatening fines and liquor license suspensions.
Governor Whitmer issued a statement Monday thanking restaurants for following The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ shutdown order. In what some are calling a tone-deaf message, she said she wanted to thank bar and restaurant owners for their “incredible sacrifices” over the past 10 months.
