LANSING, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – The director of the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) is testifying Thursday in front of the House Oversight Committee.

Representatives will hear from Liza Eastlund Olson about problems related to the state’s unemployment system over the past 18 months, including long wait times for receiving benefits, and reports of poor customer service.
